CONGRATULATIONS TO SOMERSET JR. AMERICAN BASEBALL TEAM, THEY DEFEATED SOUTH ATTLEBORO IN A HARD FOUGHT FINAL GAME WITH A SCORE OF 9 TO 8.

SOMERSET WILL BE IN THE BOOKS AS THE FIRST DEPARTMENT OF MASS. STATE JR. LEGION BASEBALL CHAMPIONS.

AMERICAN LEGION WILL HAVE ITS FIRST STATE TOURNAMENT FOR JR LEGION BASEBALL, PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BE IN ATTENDANCE, TO SUPPORT THESE FUTURE HIGH SCHOOL AND SENIOR LEGION BASEBALL PLAYERS. SOUTH ATTLEBORO THE NUMBER 2 SEED WILL FACE SOMERSET THE NUMBER 1 SEED IN A BEST OF 3 SERIES, WINNER WILL ADVANCE TO THE REGIONALS, IN WARWICK, R.I.

Westport wins series over Norton, Westport will be D9#1

Seekonk wins series over Swansea, Seekonk will be D9#2

Easton wins series over South Attleboro, Easton will be D9#3

Congratulations to the winners for a great year, continue your success in the State Sectionals.
